Moto Happy Tutor

Moto is an excellent teacher. He explains the literal translations and historical origins of phrases and words. This can be very helpful especially when such phrases exhibit some exception to the "rules." He gives great examples of equivalents in english to help students comprehend difficult concepts or subtle aspects of the language. Expectations and goals are very clear throughout the process. Moto is good at understanding my larger goals and breaking each meeting into a small lesson that is in service of my larger goals.

Moto sensei is such a great teacher! He's very helpful no matter the level your at, and the conversations we have are very fun to me. I enjoy our lessons and they've definitely helped me improve my Japanese skills immensely. I recommend him to everyone trying to learn a new language. I look forward to many more lessons together!

Moto san is an excellent teacher. He gives a detailed explanation of all the vocubalary and phrases. Japanese is a very contextual language, and moto explains how to best utilize and decipher phrases for the apporpriate context. I look forward to continuing to study with Moto san.

Moto san provides excellent language instruction, but he also provides excellent information about Japan beyond language. This includes information on the regional differences in culture in Japan. And some of the larger societal implications of choosing the words you use. This is helpful for someone who not only wants to learn to speak a language but to also understand a culture. Moto sets out very clear expectations from one meeting to another. I highly recommend Moto san as an instructor.
