Concerning your question the wolf isn't threaten against The man because the wolf scared of The man. It's almost impossible to see one in France so the wolf is fearful about The man.
I think that the shark is a misunderstood animal who have been used by hollywood like a horrific animal.
I think The man should try to understand him and try to live with him and not against.
