I think it can be ideal for those that suddenly find time on their hands and want to hire a tutor.  I wish they could expand the instant tutor capability to allow language exchanges to be done the same way.  Imagine being able to see who is online right now, speaks the language you want to learn, is learning the language you speak & wants to chat immediatley.  It would simplify the matching process, time zone issue and probably produce a lot more conversations.

I agree with Dave.I think it would be great to have instant language exchange.I also agree that if someone is available and free to teach they should be able to hook up with a student who just suddenly has some free time and spontaneously decides to study.

I think it is helpful and more flexible if you wanted to improve your listening comprehension and conversationally speaking
