Dutch:
Gezelligheid kent geen tijd. --> The delight of being together knows no (sense of) time. = When you are having fun with other people it isn't bad when it gets late, also: time flies when you're having fun.

 


Wie zijn billen brandt, moet op de blaren zitten. --> He who burns his butt, must sit on the blisters. = When you make a mistake you must suffer the consequences

Hij heeft de lolbroek aan --> He is wearing the pair of trousers of fun. = He is a funny guy or in a funny mood.

 

De kleren maken de man --> The clothes make the man = Your clothes determine the prestige and respect you will get.
