i heard you calling in the distance.
or
i heard you calling from the distance.
Both sentences are correct, but the mistake you've made in both of them is not to capitalise the letter 'I'. Capital letters aren't optional or a question of style - it is a mistake to write 'I ' with a small letter.
I reread your sentences and I take back what I said - sorry. Like Su.Ki said, both are correct, but you should capitalise the I, although with the second sentence rather say "I heard you calling from a distance."
Also, it takes time getting used to all the different parts of italki and how everything works so don't feel bad at all. I said it just as a helpful hint.
Good luck with your language learning and don't be afraid to ask questions:)
Ciao.
Hi, Lawrence.
The correct sentence would be the second one, but just to let you know, because this is a specific language learning question it should be posted under "Answers" not "Discussions."
Welcome to italki:)
ops!:S yes i'm new! hahah thank you!
The first one is correct.
