a palavra "Jeito"

To all the brazilian users.

Help!

It depends on the context, but I can give you some examples that may help you.

This cake is exactly how you like it!

I know an easier (a better) way to do this.

Temos que dar um jeito nisso!

We have to deal with it! (We have to solve this!)

As you can see, each phrase has a different connotation on the usage of word "jeito".

Jeito é a mesma palavra que Maneira

ex.:

De que maneira você quer sua refeição?

De que jeito você quer sua refeição?

Jeito means mostly way but it can means manner or how.

Did I helped?

"jeito" here in brazil is quite often used as "a quality".

Ex: I think those girls are french, I don't know why, I think they kind of have a quality."

Its really difficult to explain.

But its "the way people do something" or to be. Its a particular and individual mode to do things; its an special form that people are. Everyboday has one. I think its the same as "way", or looks like, . but its necessary to observ the context of sentence. Its difficult to explain, sorry.

The woman looks like a girl.
