The more I think about this question, the more general it seems to be.  May I ask which sites/apps you already have in mind (and how you plan to present them to your students)?  That may give us something to start with.

Thanks for commenting. I should have been more specific in my request. I'm looking for websites that could be used as resources in a world language class. It's broad because you can use resources in so many ways depending on what your goals are for the students. I was thinking along the lines of the following:

a news site (in another language) that provides ideas for classroom lessons or extension acitivities

a site that offers games/puzzles to reinforce vocabulary

a site that has great pictures, videos, text to provide background information on culture, geography etc.
