The aim of this discussion is for both teachers and student's to share some tips and tricks :)
Enjoy!
I listen to the radio - different stations (interviews, talk shows, discussions, phone-in shows)
I watch films and TV-series (also the ones I would normally never watch)
I search on youtube for "stuff" to listen to and to watch, like e.g. documentaries (where people are interviewed) or discussions
I read on the internet, e.g. blogs about everyday life and the commentaries of people in the newspapers.
Just ask your language partner how to say certain phrases colloquially.
I remember asking a guy how to say "it was spittin'" in Spanish and he told me it's said like this "han sido cuatros gotas".
Do you mean how to define a colloquial speech or how to identify a fluent speech?
