So there was this sentence I saw online; (Die internationalen Zeitungen sind kostenlos)
My question is, why is it internationalen not internationale??
I read online that it has to do with something called (mixed declensions) but I still don't fully understand it.
Thanks in advance.
Mariam, this is just "normal" adjective declension nominativ plural
Die jungEN Frauen sind im Büro
Die altEN Männer sind im Theater
Die kleinEN Kinder sind in der Schule.
Die internationalEN Zeitungen sind kostenlos
IF it was written without an article (Nullartikel) then it would be
In der Stadt sind (viele) jungE Frauen
Im Restaurant sind altE Männer
In der Schule sind kleinE Kinder
InternationalE Zeitungen sind kostenlos
Sorry, my sentences are a bit silly :)
