As we are all learning via the internet, I thought I would share with you an experience I had yesterday with an "overloaded" modem.  My husband and I both work from our desktops at home.  He has a business and I study Spanish.  We learnt the hard way yesterday when the internet crashed.  We thought it was the internet provider, Bigpond, that was down.  We soon discovered from the provider that it was in fact our modem and that, as we are using the internet often, it was overloaded.  We need to reset the modem at least twice a month.  There is a reset button on the modem.  But all that one needs to do is to switch it off for 3 minutes and then on again and that should reset it.  Hope this helps.
