When we are going to give a speech, we should have some preparation in advance. That would include salient points, relevant phrases and quotes, and thematic vocabulary words. Try to use cue cards when we are still in training. Never forget that our role is to inform and inspire the audience (the floor), so that's a good opportunity to be appreciated.

You may need some confidence. There is a good way to practice speaking without a partner. Stand infront of a mirror and start speaking to yourself loudly in English. It sounds crazy but I found it useful =)
