the people to which i went/ the people i went to

I would like to know if when I tell my yesterday night I have to say:

 

I didn' know the people to which I went yesterday night

or

I did'nt know the people I went to yesterday night

 

What is correct, both or nether?

Oh, I think I understand. How about this way:

 

I didn't know those people before I visited them last night.

 

OR maybe something like...

 

I was taken to a party last night; but I really didn't know those hosts at all before then.

 

I don't know French I'm afraid.

Oui, c'est ça exactement. Le mot 'chez' c'est intraduisible, alors il faut dire '.. the people whose house I went to', ou bien '... the people I visited.'

Thank you very much Berneddi, but I think Su.Ki answered my question...

 

A friend take me to a party organized by people and I want to say that "those people I visited were very friendly" or "I didn't know those people I visited". In french ther is a way to say that more simply (I guess... It's my language :-)...)
