English teacher here with a writing prompt for the day...tell me about the breakfast foods usually eaten in your country! Drop your knowledge below and let our community know :) Make sure to read the other comments to learn more about others! I'll go first: In the United States, breakfast is a big deal. A classic American breakfast can consist of eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns (a type of shredded potato that is cooked to a crisp), toast, and even pancakes or waffles! And of course, orange juice and coffee :)

Here in Argentina we drink mate or mate cocido, though some people prefer to drink coffee in the mornings. We usually accompany them with different pastries like facturas, buzcochos or chipa, depending in which part of the country do you live.

In Canada, a serving of flapjacks (pancakes) with maple syrup is particularly popular, especially at this time of year. Maple syrup season is just wrapping up and there's lots of it now. 😋

Hello. We also have routine breakfast such as eggs, toasts e.t.c. but sometimes my family like to have toasts with red fish and lemon sauce. Black coffee of course. Red fish is expensive in Chech republic because it's not sea or ocean here, but sometimes we make a little surprise to ourself. Have a nice day and "bon appetit" :)

That’s a bit complex for me to answer, cuz areal general breakfasts can be quite different and even it’s totally different in each part of some provinces. As far as I know, some compatriots live in certain parts like to eat meat and drink shots after they get up. However, I just want to share a trend among young people in my country, they prefer buns, milk and fruit as their breakfast. And I also think it’s healthier than the traditional food we consume over here.
