Hello! I am very happy that you are interested in improving your German with me :)
My name is Jennifer and I was born and raised in Germany. I am a certified German teacher with experience of teaching in schools as well as private.
Languages have always been interesting to me - I love to analyze their structure and discover differences along with unique traits. I especially enjoy that by learning languages you can get a better understanding of different cultures which offer many new ways in how to see the world.
At the moment I am studying Korean and Japanese myself.
Apart from studying languages I enjoy going to cafes, playing boardgames and video games :)Me as a Teacher
Studying languages myself I know the different struggles that you will unavoidably encounter in learning new grammar structures, using formal and informal language or even reading and writing a completely new alphabet.
Having actual conversations in German will boost your confidence and of course your progress of becoming used to the language.
I will speak in a way that fits your level and sometimes I may challenge you, too! Meaning, I will change my talking speed, the use of easy or more complicated words and structures depending on your level and your progression.
If necessary I can always explain in English or Korean.My lessons & teaching style
The most important thing to me is, that you have an enjoyable learning experience, which is suited for your own needs and interests. The content of the lessons should be memorable and thus make language learning more fun while also being more sustainable in the overall progress.
By focusing on topics of your interests, you will encounter various vocabulary and expressions that will be useful for YOU. We will work on improving your skills so that you will feel more confident when talking about your life or in realistic life situations.
We will use diverse teaching methods to work on your proficiency based on your needs and you can always bring questions, newspaper articles (...) to class!My teaching material

Ich bin so glücklich und dankbar, dass ich Jennifer als meine Lehrerin habe. Sie ist eine sehr nette Person und eine wunderbare Lehrerin. Meine Stunden am frühen Morgen mit ihr machen immer so viel Spaß. Sie bereitet den Unterricht so wunderbar vor, dass er nicht langweilig wird (einschließlich “Warm-Up” Übungen, die ich während des Kaffeekochens machen kann) . Sie geben mir auch Hausaufgaben, wenn ich das möchte, und ihre Korrekturen sind äußerst nützlich für mein Sprachenlernen. Ich freue mich schon auf viele neue Stunden mit ihr.

Jennifer is a very professional tutor who has a clear understanding of German grammar (which is rarely the case with native speakers!) She invests a lot of time and effort in creating a lesson plan. Having lessons with Jennifer is a pure joy and a very productive investment. Highly-recommended!
