My name is Timi, a short version of Timea. I grew up in Slovakia and lived there until graduation. Currently, I live in Austria, in Tyrol. I love mountains, nature, traveling, dancing and meeting new people. I am working in the bar so I prefer nightlife.
My biggest passion is music and playing the piano. I have been playing piano for 12 years and saxophone for 5. We can talk about it more in our lesson. :)

I have teaching experience mostly with teenagers and adults. Now, I would rather focus mainly on adults. I am very grateful for Italki platform because it gave a lot of new contacts and new learning experience.
Thanks to Italki I met amazing people when I was learning German and Russian. Learning a new language and exploring new culture from my bed has never been so easy as now.

As a teacher, I want to encourage my students to speak from the very beginning and teach grammar in a very gentle way with the use of interactive materials. I enjoy being creative and open-minded while preparing my lessons.
I used to be a student as well and I struggled to find a suitable and most effective way to learn a new language.
Every student has different needs, and that is why I am trying to use our trial lesson as an introduction. You can tell me what is your goal in the Slovak language and what you image our lessons should look like. I am open to all methods from workbooks, grammar, and quizzes to watching videos and only chatting in Slovak.My teaching material

Teacher Timi is very careful and attentive to your needs. She gentle tries to improve every aspects of your language and explains the nuances in a clearly and understandable way with examples. We can enthusiastically talk on various topics! Timi always creates such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. During our dialogs she gives me the better tips to express myself in Slovak language, correcting my pronunciation or phrases that are better said in a different way. Today was my first 90 minute lesson with Timi. When we first started lessons, there is absolutely no way that I could have managed 90 minutes of focused conversation. Today, the 90 minutes flew by quickly, and I then wanted to immediately study my Slovak books to learn more. Timi has an awesome sense of humor, and the lessons with her are the opposite of the torture that I used to feel when studying Slovak. Thank you Timi, for not only making learning Slovak tolerable.... but actually managing to make it interesting and fun. I am incredibly grateful for your expertise and your help! 🙏😁

Tim is the best teacher. I like her approach because she easily adapt lessons based on your needs, she funny and time of your lesson it isn’t boring lesson, it is fun and interesting conversation.
