I am learning Japanese at the moment.

I think it depends how proficient you are at Japanese and what you want to achieve that will decide what advice to give concerning your aducation of the Japanese language. For example, if you are unable to construct sentences of your own in Japanese then you will need to build a vocabulary and learn grammer in order to converse in Japanese.
