It was accidentally burned down by Julius Caeser during the Alexandria War. The library was the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. It was dedicated to Muses, the nine goddesses of the arts. With the huge collection of works, a reading room, a room of shared dining, meeting rooms, gardens, and lecture halls, the library had inevitable become a place where many famous thinkers of the ancient world flocked. In 48 BC, Caeser occupied the city, after defeating the Egyptian fleet and was residing in the palace. Unexpectedly, he was attacked again by a sizable force. This time, Caeser found himself in a sorry plight, he took a decisive action and set fire on his own ships, he then sent these fire ships into the harbor. His plan was a great success and the enemy fled quickly aflame. Unfortunately the fire did not stop there, it jumped onto the dockside that was laden with flammable merchandises ready for export. And the fire spread in land and finally sent the Great Library together with its priceless scrolls into ash.

The oldest library in the world, the Royal Library of Alexandria, was built in approximately 300 B.C. in Alexandria, Egypt. Where is it now? It was accidentally burned down by Julius Caeser during the Alexandria War.        Example: Tokyo, Japan not Tokyo in Japan

The library was the largest and most significant library of the ancient world. It was dedicated to the Muses, the nine goddesses of the arts. With the huge collection of works, a reading room, a dining room , meeting rooms, gardens, and lecture halls; the library had inevitably become a place where many famous thinkers of the ancient world flocked.

In 48 B.C., Caeser occupied the city, after defeating the Egyptian fleet and was residing in the palace. Unexpectedly, he was attacked again by a sizable force. This time, Caeser found himself in a sorry plight, he took a decisive action and set fire to his own ships, he then sent these fire ships into the harbor. His plan was a great success and the enemy fled quickly aflame. Unfortunately the fire did not stop there, it jumped onto the dockside that was laden with flammable merchandise ready for export. And The fire spread on land and finally sent the Great Library together with its priceless scrolls into ash.

Merchandise is a word that can be used for singular and plural cases.

BC = B.C.

I was taught to never begin a sentence with AND.

 ".., and lecture halls, " = There are so many commas that using a semicolon would be better than using another comma.

You are a great writer. I may of missed something, but I tried my best to get the little mistakes that you made.
