Each custom control was long with policemans and dogs.. I think now this d'not exist, but in that time it nos awlful... Arrived in France I started myself less comfortable, because I sensed that without any knowledge in frenchlanguage, any friends or related it would be very difficult to find « French foreign Legion » in Paris. We were very curious to see much black people when we arrived in Paris ! It was Latin district of city. After exit from our bus with big bags , we said « good bye » to our old life and « welcome » to new... Though all first daywe looked for find some sign , presence of FFL at Paris. To night in underground we were very tired and hopeless. French people dislike our questions in English. We were most happy in the world !! In the same evening after horible day of seek we find finally our FFL . We knocked in the door and a chine man open for us, he said « welcome to France Foreign Legion »....

First day in Paris.

I resume my little story about my first paces (?) in France, so we (my friend and I) took a bus in Vilnius (capital city of Lithuania), cross Poland, tommorow in the morning we arrived at Prague, where we stayed all day along for tourist's visit,
It was fine, old city with many narrow pathway in the center of town (or city?), many ancient catholic churches and museums,a river cross all town. After, in the evening our bus quited Prague for German. Each custom control was long with policemen and dogs.. I think now this does not exist, but in that time it was awlful...
When i arrived in France I started  (?)  myself less comfortable, because I sensed that without any knowledge in french language, any friends or related (?) it would be very difficult to find « French foreign Legion » in Paris.
We were very curious to see much black people when we arrived in Paris ! It was Latin district of city. After exit from our bus with big bags, we said « good bye » to our old life and « welcome » to new... Though the whole first day we tried to find some sign , presence of FFL at Paris. After spending the night in the underground we were very tired and hopeless. French people disliked our questions in English. I think it stayed in their roots in reason of war's hundred years etc...)
But fortunately in a station of tube we found a little poster with address of quarter military FFL.
We were most happiest in the world !! In the same evening after horrible day of seek we have found (Past) finally our FFL . We knocked on the door and a chine man opened for us, he said « welcome to French Foreign Legion »....

General comment: there's a good deal of cultural insenstivity and racism expressed in this post (about the Hundred Years War, black people, "chine man"), and it's extremely off-putting.
