think too much I work in a technology company in Suzhou. It is in the east of China. I am responsible for English-Chinese and Chinese-English translation. At the beginning of my work, there were some foreign visitors coming to our factory, but i am ashamed of talking to them, because i think that my pronunciation is poor and i don't have full confidence to chat with them.I am an English major and have graduated for about 2 years. Though i have passed TEM 8 which is seen as the highest level of English in China. I dare not to speak in front of people, especially English native speakers. As time flies, i realized oral English is a must for me. I must improve it. However, i don't know what to do at present. I regret that i didn't talk too much with my partner in English at university, didn't go to English corner, didn't read English Newspaper and so on. I found a friend to help me several days ago, i am grateful to her for her kindness. I hope i can become more confident and make progress through her help.At last, i wanna find more friends who speak English as the first language to help me overcome this difficulty.

Hello Molly,

I notice that you are not capitalising "I", and we do this all the time, not just at the beginning of sentences. good luck with your new study partner.

I Think Too Much

I work in a technology company in Suzhou,  It is in the east of China. I am responsible for English-Chinese and Chinese-English translation.

At the beginning of my work When I started there were some foreign visitors coming to our factory, but I am was ashamed of talking to them, because I think that my pronunciation is poor and I don't have full enough confidence to chat with them.

I am an English major and have graduated for about 2 years ago. Though I have passed TEM 8 which is seen as the highest level of English in China, I dare not to speak in front of other people, especially English native English speakers.

As time flies, I've realized oral English is a must for me. I must improve it, however, I don't know what to do at present. I regret that I didn't talk too much with my partner in English at university, and didn't go to the English corner, didn't read English Newspapers and so on. I found a friend to help me several days ago, I am grateful to her for her kindness.

I hope I can become more confident and make progress through her help. At last, I wanna want to find more friends who speak English as their first language to help me overcome this difficulty.

Hi Molly! I am fluent in English, having been born and raised in America. I would be happy to help you improve your conversational skills, but can I recommend maybe listening to popular songs in English to help your oral skills? I have worked with ESL students in my free time, and many of them have told me doing this helps them not only learn new words but understand words in a cultural context.
