note: "здравствуйте" is pronounced without the first 'в', that is, the way you write it:)
It happens with greetings etc., they easily get reduced...

But it isn't a general rule regarding -вств- cluster: in "девственный" (adj. 'virgin') the first в (though being unvoiced before 's': /-fstv-/) is pronounced in even more clear, long and intence manner than any other consonant. Probably that's because we are struggling with the temptation to omit it.

Unstressed и/е and a/o get always reduced and sound the same. No wonder you have confused them, Russian children could write it the same way: "миня завут":) It sounds this way...

Я студенка в Австралии.

'Я австралийка(f)/австралиец(m)' (I'm an Australian) and
'Я из Австралии' (I'm from Australia)
are used interchangeably to mean 'an Australian talking with a person abroad'.

So 'Я студентка из Австралии' should work. though it's slightly formal to my taste (a participant of a conference, not to be confused with a post-doc from Malaysia)

Ohter options:
'Я студентка и живу в Австралии.'
'Я австралийка и учусь в университете/колледже/...'

You can say 'Я учусь в Австралии', if you don't mean that you're an Australian... just study there.

Я люблю познания и готовку.= I like knowledge and cooking.
So "Я люблю учиться и готовиться" = to study and to cook.
