Form this, I found a similar sentence from many Chinese novels described ancient Chinese live. While a wife are realized of, even misrealized of, falling in love with others, her husband, or her mother in law always would say “Don’t forget your identity, while you are alive, you are a person of this family; you dead, you are a ghost of this family”. In the synonym original novel of one of Ang lee’s movie The Spy Ring, while the hero order to kill the heroine, the hero also speak a similar sentence: If I am not such a man, how could she love me? She lived, she was a person of mine, she dead, she is my ghost?
