Figure of Speech In court documents, the commands of the rulers attract the researchers more than other types of correspondence because royal decrees are issued by the king himself. Although many royal commands generally follow the specific letter writing format of their own historical periods, the examples show that the secretaries have been trying to apply some changes, both in terms of content and appearance, so that the command seems more distinguished. This gradually causes the enactment of the specific rules for the regulation and documentation of the royal decrees which has not ever seen in the process of setting up correspondence.
