Crash (movie, 2004) Recently, the teacher recommended me to watch the movie Crash (2004). I got great pleasure from watching. It is a beautiful movie, and all told it refers not only to the United States, but also to Russia and all other countries of the Western culture and civilization. People - like molecules. They make constant Brownian motion and, of course, collide with each other. And don't think about how their collisions affect the fate of other people. Even those whom they have never met. Of course, this film tells the story of the Americans. But the same thing happens in Russia. Has happened before and is happening now. But now we have a global world. This means that our clashes have more consequences. Wave from our collision can roll very far. Moreover, now we are surrounded by more and more people of other cultures and traditions. Because of this reasons for collisions is increasing. And actually, the film tells us that the clash and conflict do not give a good result. Much more useful to try to understand the other person. Watch this beautiful movie. I hope he'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Привет, Александр. Немного несерьезных советов,

Recently, the teacher [recommended me to watch] the movie Crash (2004).

Иногда кажется, что глагол "to recommend" может быть неудобным. Обычно это требует довольно определенного порядка слов. Например,

- (Кто-нибудь) recommended (что-нибудь) to (кому-нибудь)

или просто, - (Кто-нибудь) recommends (что-нибудь)

- Recently, my teacher recommended the movie Crash (2004) to me.

- Recently, my teacher recommended that I watch the movie Crash (2004). А тут часто слово "<em>that</em>" показывается необязательно.

(Еще пример,

We went to that new restaurant last night. The one (that) my teacher recommended to us... The one (that) he recommended we visit as soon as possible... Well, I don't recommend it. )

That is, "to recommend" does not work like to tell: "<em>My teacher told me to watch</em>..."; to ask: "<em>My teacher asked me to watch</em>..."; to advise: "<em>My teacher advised me to watch</em>..."

But <em>does</em> work like to suggest: "<em>My teacher suggested X to me</em>" / "<em>My teacher suggested (that) I X</em>"

I got great pleasure from watching (it). It is a beautiful movie, and all told it refers not only to the United States, but also to Russia and all other countries [of the Western culture and civilization]. "Western culture," почему-то, более или менее, некогда не пишут с артиклей. Итак предложение выглядил бы чуть-чуть опрятнее, как "but also to Russia and the rest of the Westernised world." ; "...but also to Russia and all other Western-cultured countries (вызглядит немного странно)" ; "...but also to Russia and the rest of Western culture" и т.д.

People -(are) like molecules. They [make constant Brownian motion] and, of course, collide with each other. Вместе "to make," насчет motion, фразы вообще включают "to be in,"

то есть, <em>"They are in constant Brownian motion and, ..."</em>

And don't think about how their collisions affect the fate of other people. Even those whom they have never met.
Of course, this film tells the story of the Americans. But the same thing happens in Russia. Has happened before and is happening now.
But now we have a global world. This means that our clashes have more consequences. Waves from our collisions can roll very far. Moreover, now we are surrounded by more and more people of other cultures and traditions. Because of this, reasons* for collisions are[*множ] increasing.

And actually, the film tells us that the [clashes and<em>*</em> conflict] do not give a good results[*множ].

"To give <em>прилаг.</em> results" - немного неестественно, я бы сказал. Я предлагаю что-то вроде, ...have unfortunate/destructive consequences ; ...lead to terrible results/things

(It is) Much more useful to try to understand the other person.
Watch this beautiful movie. I hope heyou'll [enjoy it as much as I do.] Это, можно сказать, похоже на не/совершенности на русском: "<em>...enjoy it as much as I do</em>" предложит, что Вы наслаждаетесь его или неоднократно или сейчас, из-за <em>"do"</em>. Итак, было бы лучшее как "I hope you'll enjoy it as much as <em>I did</em>." или, может быть, "I hope you'll like it as much as I do"

Crash (movie, 2004)

Recently, the teacher recommended me to watch the movie Crash (2004).
I got great pleasure from watching it.
Because of these reasons, for collisions are increasing.
And actually, the film tells us that  clashes and conflicts impact us negatively. Much more useful is to try to understand the other person.
Watch this beautiful movie. I hope he'll enjoy it as much as I do.

@Mumtaz Happen in our country is a little different story. But based on all the same mutual misunderstanding between people. Having met on the road of life a stranger, we see in him an enemy alien. Just in case. And he often responds to us as well.

I watched it many times and every time it touched my heart and taught me something new, I totally agree with you; it is a great movie. I'm just a little surprised that things are the same in Russia because I don't much about your country...
