Halloween

By The way, I'm studying and I need to practice my english. If You want we can speak in spanish and then in English. Tell me what do You Think about? Bye-Bye

En España es la "noche de todos los santos" pero en mucho lugares no se celebra la noche, sino el día, yendo al cementerio a ver a tus seres queridos que ya murieron. In Spain, is the "noche de todos los santos (all saints' night)" but in many places there aren´t celebrations at night, only during day, going to the cementery to visit your love ones who passed away ( :) All corrections will be welcome )

Halloween

¿Cómo dices Halloween en español?

Dia de las brujas (day of the witches)

or

Noche de brujas (night of witches)

When I was a kid in school everybody called it "Dia de las Brujas" or "Halloween".

It was a thing from the past that people wanted to translate everything into spanish and Halloween was one of them calling it "Noche de Brujas" ="Night of Witches" But I'm glad that nowdays people call it Halloween and it's very rare if you find someone who calls it "Noche de Brujas".Now about "Triki, Triki" it refers to kids going for candies, it was common that people said"Vas a pedir triki triki"? Which is obvious where that word came from, "Trick or treat" I bet that most people don't know that "Triki Triki" comes from those words but they use it anyway. And what is more funny is that "Triki Triki" is probably an atempt to describe how "Trick or treat" sounds like, like for no native english speakers that heard it and started to copy it.
