when u talk with someone, u never say 秋季 as u said, 秋季 is used in literature ducument etc. 宗族 comes from old chinese it means a group in which members have same famely name even there is no blood relationship among them. in current china, there is no 宗族 any more. I mean in the cities. in some remote villages, it exists. 家族 means a group in which is consisted by children parents grandparents aunts ancles brother ans sisters stc. there is close blood relationship among them.
