Where is Yiddish spoken? Honestly, I've never heard of it. :)

Hi, Alexis! Yiddish is a non-territorial language. It's a hybrid of Hebrew and medieval German languages, and it is written in an alphabet based on Hebrew characters. Yiddish was at one time the international language of Ashkenazic Jews (the Jews of Central and Eastern Europe and their descendants). Yo can find more information in Wikipedia Site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yiddish
