I need help to understand some words in the following context. In this sentence what does " lame "first look" segment" mean? Squirming in your seat at the theater, wondering how many more times you have to sit through this lame "first look" segment before the movie finally starts. Thank you all :)

It's a reference to the movie previews or "coming attractions." Before the film you've paid for, they show you advertisements for other films to make you want to come back to the movie theater (cinema in UK). "Lame" means unable to walk, here it's just a negative value judgement, like "uninteresting, boring...."
