"As" is for things that are the same, "like" is for things that are only similar. "John is the same age as Mary" "People tell me I look like George Clooney"

"As you like it". Here you can use both at the same time when "like" acts as a verb. I cannot run as fast as you. (We cannot say, "I cannot run like fast like you".) Can you dance like me? (We cannot say, "Can you dance as me?") Would you like to come as my partner? (We do not say, "Would you like to come like my partner?") He does not eat pork as he is Muslim. (We do not say, "He does not eat pork like he is Muslim.)
