Als and wie
First of all, I am sorry because of this question that is in English, but this is not a simple question and I decided to write in this to be more clear.
ALS and WIE, I have already asked something about these prepositions before, and what I received was that:
He writes like a poet Er schreibt wie ein Dichter. Yeah, but I have seen phrases like ALS ein Taxi Fahren... Could we say that als=as and wie=like?
As a doctor, I like it (Als ein Doktor, mag Ich es)
Er fährt wie ein Taxi Fahren ( He drives like a Taxi driver)
And, the last question, I've seen in one Blog that we don't necessarily declinate the word after als or wie, it depends on the word that is refered to als or wie, correct?
That's why we have ER schreibt WIE EIN Dichter
About als, I saw that it must be used with Dativ, but, than I saw the rule about the word that als or wie refers

wie = "like" and "as ... as"

Er fährt wie ein Taxifahrer.
Wie wer/was? Wie ein Taxifahrer. => wie + Nominativ

Er schreibt wie ein Dichter.
Es schmeckt wie Erdbeeren. (It tastes like strawberries.)
Sie sieht wie die Frau aus, die nebenan wohnt. (She looks like the woman living next door.)

Ich mag dich genauso gern wie meinen Bruder. = I like you as much as I like my brother.
wie meinen Bruder => wie ich meinen Bruder mag => jemanden mögen => Akkusativ

Ich mag dich genauso gern wie mein Bruder. = I like you as much as my brother likes you.
wie mein Bruder => wie mein Bruder dich mag => Nominativ

als = "as" or "than" or "when"

Zucker schmeckt besser als Salz. = Sugar tastes better than salt.
als Salz => Nominativ
Hans ist größer als Lisa. = Hans is bigger than Lisa. (Nominativ)

Ich mag dich lieber als unseren Lehrer. = I like you more than our teacher.
als unseren Lehrer => jemanden mögen => Akkusativ

Ich gebe es lieber dir als meinem Hund. = I prefer to give it to you than to my dog.
als meinem Hund => Dativ => jemandem etwas geben

Which grammatical case you have to use after "als" or "wie", depends on the verb.

Als Doktor mag ich es.

Als ich gestern nach Hause gegangen bin, habe ich Herrn Bauer getroffen. = When I was walking home yesterday, I met Mr. Bauer.

Ich bin so gross wie du.

als - describing something NOT the same.

Ich bin grösser also du.
