Hooked on OR addicted to? Hello everyone. Is there another definition for a person who loves chocolate? Do hooked and addicted sound tough enought to describe that someone likes something a lot? Is there any difference between both of them? Thanks :)

I agree with all of the above. I just thought of another one --> chocolate junkie. This is also a very informal expression. "Junkie" is American slang for "addict."

Hi Lanna, from the top off my head I do not remember learning a specific, technical word for describing a person who is addicted to chocolate. There are certain expressions, however, that you could use in an humorous and informal context to describe such an addiction, I will give you a few of them: Chocoholic: which would come from "chocolate" and "alcoholic", similarly to "workaholic". Chocolate junkie Chocolate freak Hooked on chocolate Addicted to chocolate The last two are the ones you mentioned. All of them are "tough" enough to describe your addiction for chocolate, and have similar meanings :) Keep in mind however, that those expressions are informal and would be improper to use in a more formal context. On the other hand, you could easily use them on your social network's profile and would give it a very fun and humorous touch. I hope I have answered your question, I will respond to your post again if I can think of some other synonyms later. And by the way, watch for sugar, don't want to get diabetes from chocolate (the same goes for me, I share the same addiction as you) :D Regards, Jaime
