Question about حتى
Here is the sentence:
شيء لا يريد أن يفصح عنه أو يعترف به حتى بينه و بين نفسه
So, the translation of this sentences in book appears as "[It is] something he did not want to express or acknowledge, except to himself" while I tended to translate the "حتى" as "not even to himself". Am I right? If not, what the sentence have to be like for it being translated as I think?
Thanks in advance

Yes you are right, its translation is "not even to himself" or just "even to himself".

You're 100% right,
حتى = Even
But I would translate it like is:
"It's something that he didn't want to talk about or confess not even to himself."
