Where do you live? Why we ask other people with"Where do you live" rather than"Where do you live in"

'Where' indicates the place - a country, a city, a street etc You could say 'What do you live in?' and the answer would be a house or a flat or a caravan, maybe. We never say 'Where do you live in?', because the concept of 'in' is included in the word 'Where?'.
