1. 究竟有多少 ways a Chinese street can be called? I know some of them: 大道, 路, xxx路与yyy路交汇处
2. 究竟有多少ways a Chinese district can be called? I know some of them: 新区, 镇

1. XX街，XX路，XX大道，XX巷，XX胡同（一般北方城市用），XX里（一般南方城市用）
2. 中国的城市等级大概是：村、镇、乡、区、市、省

For street there is also 街 (jie),
District is just 区. 新区 would be already a specific district, such as Wuxi 新区. 新 = new.

typically people in northeast call street as 街, whereas people in west-east call the same as 路. for avenue we call 大道.
for district, we call 区, and new district is 新区
镇 is town not district
