Online
"The study revealed that well-acculturated Japanese immigrants who enjoy U.S. culture and
traditions as well as have more online and face-to-face contacts were more likely to have higher levels
of flourishing."
Does "online" in this sentence mean "on internet" or "on social media"?
It can mean both, Winter. The word online represents anything that you do on the Internet. You do social media on the Internet, so some use the phrases interchangeably (as the same- that is a big word!)
