Hello, I am Kevin, a native English teacher from the UK. I have taught in several countries around the world and now live in Central Europe. When not teaching English and helping people pass their exams, I am an amateur chef with my own cookery blog (Kev's Kitchen), and I am also a tour guide in the Slovak forests at the weekends. I also have a YouTube channel (The English Native) where I make videos about writing for IELTS and OET.

I have been working as a teacher since 2009 and have lived in Turkey, China, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and now Slovakia. I specialize in IELTS/PTE/OET/TOEFL and other exams but I can also help with general English, conversation, grammar, and vocabulary development.
My background is in History and Politics, and I hold BA and MA/MRes degrees in both those subjects as well as in Applied Linguistics. I also hold several teaching certificates for TEFL, etc.

My lessons are based on a thorough initial assessment of the learner, and I adapt my teaching accordingly, to the student's needs, learning style, and what the outcome of the lesson is.

I studied ielts with Kevin's help for about a month in July, 2023, and with his help, my writing score improved from 6.0 to 6.5, which is very meaningful to me。teacher Kevin is very professional in teaching the language tests! That is what i felt. i got an offer from LSE and want to switch to take TOEFL test this time. I've already had two toefl speaking lessons, and found out that teacher Kevin is also good at teaching toefl. I feel super lucky to find a teacher like him, who is extremely patient and professional. I really like this UK teacher and the guide he gave me. I believe with help and my endeavor, i can achieve LSE's language requirement soon!
