提起博物馆，您大脑里会出现什么样的景象? When you think of museums, what kind of images come to your mind?
恐龙化石、还是出土文物？Dinosaur fossils, or unearthed artifacts?
博物馆的画面基本上都是灰色的，安静地令人肃穆。The museum's images are mostly gray and quietly solemn.
湖北省博物馆却有些新奇的创意：每天都有几场音乐会在这里上演。The Hubei Provincial Museum has something new: several concerts are staged there every day.

Hace unas semanas, en este mismo blog hablaba sobre el “idioma universal: la música”. Pues hoy sale la newsletter número 10 y el tema entorno al que gira es sobre 10 canciones específicas que ayudan, sin duda, a mejorar las áreas de: comprensión auditiva, fonética, vocabulario e inmersión en la cultura hispanoamericana... todo esto e incluso más: la alegría y las emociones que generan estas diez composiciones que hacen que la gente cada vez más y más, se enamore de nuestra cultura y por supuesto, de nuestra lengua también.

MR. WILSON: It’s nice to meet you, Dr. Smith.
DR. SMITH: Pleasure to meet you, too.
MARGARET: Dr. Smith is an economist. He just finished
writing a book on international trade.
MR. WILSON: Oh? That’s my field, too. I work for the 
United Nations.
DR. SMITH: In the Development Program, by any chance?
MR. WILSON: Yes. How did you guess?
DR. SMITH: I’ve read your articles on technical assistance. 
They’re excellent

LANGUAGE NOTES
• Mr. Wilson, I’d like you … Notice the rising intonation on “Mr. Wilson,” which is used 
to address someone. Listen for the “d” in “I’d like.” This means I would like, which is 
very different from I like. (“I’d like” means the same as “I would like” or “I want.”)
• Dr. Smith is an economist. Notice the stress on “economist.” This content word has 
new information, so it is emphasized. There are four syllables in “economist,” with the 
stress on the second syllable (e-CON-o-mist).
• He just finished writing … “just” means the very recent past. “Just” is usually used 
with a simple past verb because the action is complete. However, it can also be used 
with the present perfect (He’s just finished writing …).
• Development program. Since these two words make a compound noun, the main 
stress falls on “development.”
• By any chance? Means the same as “possibly.” Notice the rising intonation, which is 
used in yes/no questions to confirm that something is true.

文の最後につく「か」　 　「か」 at the end of a sentence

「か」 means not only “question”, but also “proposal” and “reaffirmation” . Let’s see some sample sentences!

こんにちは。おげんきですか。
「おげんきですか」の「か」は、人になにかを聞くときに使いますね。
「いそがしいですか。」「ちょっと　いいですか。」「これはいくらですか。」など、質問するときに使います。
でも、「か」は　質問するときだけ使うのでしょうか。

例えば、
「いっしょに　ご飯　食べようか。」
「ごはんのあとで、花火しようか。」
この「か」は、いっしょに何かをしようと提案したいときに使っています。

それから、
「え！きょうが　かのじょの　誕生日だったのか。わすれてたよ！」
「ああ、これか。　田中さんがおいしいって言ってたアイスクリーム。」
ここで使われている「か」は、再確認したいときに使っています。

このように文の最後につく「か」には　「質問」「提案」「再確認」の３つの使い方があります。
①	Question　質問（しつもん）
②	Proposal　提案（ていあん）
③	Reaffirmation　再確認（さいかくにん）

種/たね…大きくなったら、野菜や果物になるもの。
まく…落とす
メートル/めーとる…m。長さを知るための方法
低空/ていくう…空の低い場所
検討/けんとう…考える
