Hi language learners How many languages can A person learn at the same time? I am currently learning Spanish and Korean . But I also want to add French to the list. I am curious about what people think of learning multiple languages at the same time. Would you do it? And what's your advice?

Hi Dylan, it depends on the individual. If you've never learnt a second language before, it will be more daunting. As you become familiar with the process of learning a new language, it is easier to learn several languages at the same time. I'd say learn languages that are from different languages families, as you have done with Spanish and Korean. If you're at at least B1 in Spanish, you can start learning French, as it will be harder for you to mix them up. Above all, enjoy the learning process and don't overload yourself. All the best and hope this helps! :)

Hi Dylan, you can learn as many languages you want if you have the time, and you are enough motivated, but it is important to keep in mind these suggestions: -Start with the language you are more willing to learn and reach at least an B1 level. -Then add the second language with different origins. This is critical because if you learn languages that are related to each other, you will mix them. -Don’t learn more than two languages at the same time, reach the level you want in one of them before to add another language. -Is important to enjoy the process because learned a language should be exiting and not a job, so if you start feeling that is hard for you, it is better to be focus on one language to keep motivated. If you are looking for a Spanish professor, I will be happy to help you.

It keep you motivated to learn the languages at the beginning, but eventually you will come to love one more than the other because of the natives you come in contact with, culture or simply personal preference. To learn a language very well, to the point of being able to communicate your inner thoughts, I think its best to focus on just one. But if your aim is just to learn the basics of many, then learning several at a time can be really entertaining

As long as the language is not too similar, you can do maybe up to 3. But French is too similar with French, you might mix them up. My advice is to learn some languages that are so different with eachother. If in the future you need a French teacher, I will be glad to help you 😄
