A boring application and no people to learn the language together is really unfortunate đŸ˜’đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«

It is what it is. In my opinion, italki is a very good marketplace for students who want to buy lessons from paid teachers. Everything else is weak. I've managed to find unpaid language companions but it's not particularly good for that (and it used to be better).

Try the Tandem app.

At the beginning it was an App where you'd find people to make a new friendship. Y'd call them, talk to them. But they noticed it was an opportunity for teachers all around. That's why italk got to this point. There's some positive vibes. And negative ones too. Positive: teachers can see the opportunity to use their knowledge to gain money while working remotely. Negative: the App itself will be focused more in the business stuff than just a free chat like it used before. But still you can get linked to a lot of people for free. But, I can help with that. We can be friends and help each other sharing a lot of information.
