Is it correct to say "to look a person into their/his,her eyes" in the literal meaning?

It's a common collocation to say look someone "in the eye." I looked him in the eye and told him to go away.

Hi Sasha, we would rather say "look a person in thier eyes" or "look into a person's eyes"

You can also look at someone “eye to eye”.
