In this sentence it doesn't make any sense.
"Comping up" can mean about to happen in the future, as in "my birthday is coming up in two weeks".
It can also mean to come up from a lower place, as in "he is coming up the staircase".
And more colloquially it can mean coming north, as in "my friend is coming up from Florida to Pennsylvania to see me". Usually when we go south we say "coming down".
