Business culture in Russia. That's topic is not easy. However, I'm going to try to write my thought and observations. I think historical facts in our past defined what we have now. So, I'm going to tell you about two things that affect for Russian business. First of all, we didn't have entrepreneurship and we had a slavery during the industrial revolution, and our government (a tsar/a ruler) decided to give money to business, they gave money to people who have slaves. I think that's affect business culture a lot and corrupted business. Maybe we had no other choice, however. The second, in 20 century we had a communism regime, and entrepreneurship was a crime. For example, we know how people who made jeans and sell them was executed by the party. There was no culture of entrepreneurship in the USSR, and our business services today have really poor quality, especially in small cities. Today business straggle (especially small business) because political decisions are unpredictable. It means that businessmen focusing on short-term goals and fast profit, and rare think for 10+ years. That means that the service and quality are not always good for this reason too. And finally, we have resources and our economy depends of the price of oil, unfortunately. And again, it's not good for business and makes market unpredictable. However, we have many talented people. If they will have good working conditions, then they really capable to do great things.
