Meaning of 'maap tinggal dimana' Hey guys,

I'm looking for the meaning of 'maap tinggal dimana'. The very problem is the word 'maap'. An Indonesian friend of mine posted that expression on Facebook. Now I'm not sure, what it means, or whether it must be a mistake in the spelling. When I looked up 'maap' in an Indonesian dictionary, I didn't find that word. Is it possibly a short form for something else?

Thank you in advance for your help!

it's simply a "slang" words derived from"maaf". In the context of your sentence, it can be quite offensive for some people to be asked a private information, hence appology in the beginning.

Itu adalah rencana yang baik!

Fyi, actually, Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia are two different languages. Even though those languages sound similar to foreigners. (because Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malaysia are both come from Bahasa Melayu. And, sometimes, Malaysian and Indonesian people can understand each other). Therefore, I encourage you to google it and find the difference between those two. :D

And If i may advice, if you want to learn Bahasa Indonesia, please come to Indonesia area and if you are interested with Bahasa Malaysia, there is nothing better than learn it from Malaysian people.

May the force be with you!

I know, that both of the languages are derived from Bahasa Melayu. I have done my 'research' already before. :) The grammar is more or less the same. And the vocabulary is about 60-70 % identical, right? I guess the pronunciation may also differ. I don't presume, that I can manage to learn both in that short time, but I guess I can still get a feeling for both of them and try to communicate as much as possible.  I'd also like to focus more on Bahasa Indonesia than on Bahasa Malaysia.
