I do love IU too, Through the Night and My Old Story are my favourites [emoji]
I know far too much about Kpop! :-) I have kept half an ear to it for many years. Recently I was seriously ill and have often used some Kpop to cheer me up. Kpop, and its fans, have a strong culture of 'niceness', which is just what the doctor ordered. I'm too old to take it seriously, but I particularly enjoy listening to Hong Jinyoung (she sings 'trot', which is the Kpop equivalent of enka/Schlager/country music) and Koyote (they bring back happy memories from the early 2000s). If you've never listened to it, give it a try! A good song to start with is IU's 'Good Day' or 'Fine Day'.
Paco, "Kpop" is used in two ways. Sometimes it means any pop music from South Korea. Sometimes it means an especially Korean style of pop music that features creative music videos, bright colours, fanatical fans, tight choreography, upbeat music, and many other special characteristics.
