How are you using your English skills today?

What tips can you give to other students who have busy lives but would like to contribute more time to his or her language learning?

Podcasts are a good idea. I'm also a big fan of INTERNET RADIO through such apps/websites as "TuneIn" - it's good if you have handy access to wifi or a good data plan.

There are thousands upon thousands of real radio stations to choose from - from countries all over the world.

When you listen to "talk radio" stations, you're listening to real foreign language conversations, always new and fresh and available 24-hours.

You shouldn't use it as your only method of language learning. If you're studying the language through other methods, you'll find when you're listening to radio that you'll understand a little, and the more you listen you'll see that it reinforces what you've already learned and you'll eventually find that you can understand more and more of what you're hearing. When you're busy again, just switch it off; there's no need to go to the end of the lesson.
