'Look' is followed by an adjective - 'You look tired'. 'Look like' is followed by a noun - 'You look like a movie star'. 'Look as if/though' is followed by a verb phrase - 'You look as though you've had a hard day'. You can also use 'though' or 'like' in the third sentence.
