Is this correct, 'He is shiny'? Do we use 'shiny' to describe people? I mean he is popular and talented. So he's like the sun, very outstanding. Thanks!

You can say it, but the wording just changes a little. so you could say "She/ He is a shining example" = She/ He sets a good example that other people could/ should follow. And this would mean 'outstanding' in this context. "She/ He always shines" = She/ He always stands out apart from the rest = 'outstanding' in this context as well. The only other way to use 'shiny' is to describe someone's complexion: "He has a shiny head" = he is bald and waxes the top (Vin Diseal and Dwayne Johnson are examples). Hope this helps

Not typically. You might say someone has a shiny glow, referring to how clean and fresh their skin looks.

The only people who use "shiny" to describe someone tend to be fans of the television series Firefly. ;) Apart from that, not often. "Brilliant" is what we use for intelligent or smart individuals. Sunny can be used for a cheerful attitude, as in, "He/she has a sunny disposition." But I really think the word you're looking for here is "brilliant," which can, in certain contexts, be similar to "shiny."

You can't describe someone as shiny, but you could describe them as RADIANT.
