Why: College English, it is the requirement for graduation. Two courses, Reading and writting, Oral communication. How: Reading and writting was taught mainly on book report and movie report. The professor assiged some books and movies for us to read and watch, we have to write the summaries of the books and the movies. Oral communication was taught on debate and informative speech (presentation). We have to do our own research. Basically, we have to do it all by ourself. Addition: Foreign students have to finished all ESL courses and/ or passed the qualification exam is the prerequisit for these two courses.
