What is that -eyo thing after the name? or sometimes after the name they also put -ieyo ?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.. but 이에요 and 예요 (에요) isn't only used with just names.. its a special case that is used with 이다 to form the standard politeness level. Usage: Noun ending + ~이에요 Vowel ending + ~예요 (에요) I think 에요 is acceptable in speech but 예요 is the standard. 예를 들면, 저는 마크예요(에요) I am Mark 이 가게는 김밥매점이에요 This is a gimbap store

Mark's answer is excellent. But I have to say... it slightly differs for names. For names : Noun endng + 이 + 예요 Vowel ending + 예요 Actually, 예요 is a shortcut for 이에요. For this reason, you cannot use just 에요. About "이", you add it after names, like 길동이는 어디 갔어?. But when you say someone's full name, you use 이에요 then. So, 전 길동이예요 and 전 홍길동이에요.
