Who is your best friend? How did you become friends?

私の親友は五年前会いました。五年前は日本に来たときですよ。英語の会社で、日本に来て英語の教師になって親友に会ったんです。同期ですから。二十代だし同じ町に住んでいるし、早く友達になりました。面白いことは”第一印象が悪かったから、親友になるなんておもわなかった”っていわれました。実は会った時、私はあんまりしゃべなっかたし、緊張していたし本当の自分を表さなくてしまいましたけど、その時以来色んな一生忘れられない記憶が出来て、今からももっといい記憶を作っていきますよ。

One of my best friends is my first boyfriend. His name is Ivan, not the most exclusive Russian name :) We met many years ago when we were schoolchildren. I was 16 and he was 14. Our relationship was naive and innocent, so we broke up as friends. Now we communicate despite the fact that we live in different cities. We share our experiences and thoughts about life and work. Over the years I have realized that the friendship format is much better for us than a bf-gf relationship.
