Hello! My name is Lois - I live in Yorkshire in the north of the UK, the home of the famous ‘Yorkshire Puddings’. I am an experienced and qualified English teacher with a friendly style. I have a long career in teaching and development in the Higher Education, Charity and Business sectors. I hold both the CELTA and CertEd teaching qualifications and have completed the University of Cambridge 'Intercultural Communication for Global Business' course.
I am passionate about equality and inclusion and welcome all students to my classes. I look forward to meeting you!عني كمعلّم
I have a friendly and natural coaching style and a real interest in helping students develop their full potential. I love to work with students who feel a bit nervous about speaking English and who feel the fear of making mistakes or not being as good as others is holding them back.
My specialist areas are:
* Business English - helping you to develop strong spoken English in the workplace and coaching you to be successful and confident in your career
* Conversation and culture - developing your ability to have natural conversations about a range of topics with a native speaker. This quickly develops both your speaking and listening skills and your knowledge of British culture.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My style is friendly and encouraging. Learning a language is fun so I aim for a relaxed but informative style in my classes.
The Business English classes can be more demanding; your reward is to see your skills, confidence and accuracy progress quickly over a short number of sessions and for your career prospects to increase!
At our first lesson we will start by discussing your needs and what you would like to achieve. I will talk to you about what I can do to support your development and we will discuss and agree a way forward together.

Lois is so flexible, knowledgeable and patience. She encourages me to speak in a very natural way. Also, she gives me different daily example which helps a lot on understanding the language along with its culture.

Lois in very flexible in the topics of our conversation. She talks easily about all kind of subjects and keeps the conversation going by her questions. The feedback is positive and it never makes the conversation discomfortable.

The lesson was good, but unfortunately the connection with the I-talkie platform was horrible. The connection broke down around eight times.
